CS5.5 Multi Cam – big project – Keeps crashing
Are folks having good experiences using Cs5.5 and Multicam?
My Current project is about 6 hours of footage (a seminar). This is my first go round using Multi Cam.
I have three cameras, synched with plural eyes. I’m using a Matrox MX02 (with max) and a G- Tech es in Raid 0. I can edit about 5 minutes of footage- sometimes a little more – before the all the Cam Monitors and the program monitor go to black and all the changes to my sequence are lost up to the last save.
Also, i’m working in 1/4 resolution, but it looks like the Multi-cam monitors are still in full resolution (as is my external monitor with the Matrox) anyone know if the res on the multi cams can be lowered to hopefully improve performance?
Are other people having similar experiences with cs 5.5 and Multi-cam?
anyone have any thoughts that would help?thanks in advance,

Hi Alex,
One quick thought, try copying and pasting in a non Matrox timeline and see if the crashes still happen. Then , you may have to make a decision there…
