I wonder if anyone have had this problem.

I’m doing one feature in resolve edited in premiere cs5 or 5.5 etc.

Problem is that i have to use all the material in media pool for now (38 h)

FIrst idea was to trim out shots used only i.e. about 1,5 hours
but problem is with redcine in the middle.

Xml does not see all the shots and edls crash it.

It all works on Resolve for now as red material is 1/4 for now
but it can boil down when i will make render out.

Any experiences with premiere > redcine > resolve workflow ?

Project is in different shop not in my own and this is why it confuses me a bit.

It doesn’t help you right now – but in V9, there is a consolidate function which will Trim the Red clips down to what you need for the edit, and handles!

    Hi Rohit.

I’m just wondering all this for workflow options in future.
I also considered digging up my rubber monkey as i recall i could do something similar.

Got to say i’m on fire now about v9 coming out 😉

    Exiting times!

can you take smalled chunks into red cine and trim there? maybe taking the whole project in at once is causing the crashes?

Rohit- Definitely looking forward to that feature.

It would help him to get his hands on that version 😉
