Well the Adobe posted specs claim it, but I can’t seem to find it. How to you migrate a CS5 project over to Avid. I see it for going to Final Cut. Is it not doable, or is it like everything else Avid…obtuse and hard to figure out.

    Hi David…

from what I understand, Export AAF should do it.

Right, we use the AAF format for exporting to Avid. Let us know if you need additional help David.

Sorry for the delay, but I’d love to know how to use AAF for porting over to Avid. I prefer cutting on Premier and would just as soon keep it that way if the job could then be bought over for finishing…which is done on Avid.

    Thanks

    Hello,
I am trying to do this as well. I export an AAF from Avid MC5 and try to import it into Premiere CS5. I am working in 1080i
However, I am then told “the importer has recorded a generic error”

I followed Adobe’s instructions on this matter.
    Any clues?
    Cheers
    Ian
