I am having a problem with exporting my sequence as a quicktime .mov using the ProRes codec in Premier CS5. Footage is 5dmkii 1080p24 using the appropriate DSLR preset sequence setting. When in the Export Settings window, the Source tab accurately shows the sequence without top and bottom black bars. When I click the Output tab and view it there, it does have the top and bottom bars. I understand that I can simply click the Match Sequence Settings box, and it will correct this problem, but I want to export as a quicktime .mov. (as the DSLR preset will export as an mpeg using the mpeg I-Frame codec). I’ve tried playing with all the aspect ratio settings, but no luck. Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Jason,

The resolution you want is 1920×1080 not 1920×1280. Hit that link icon next to the reolution first, then change the vertical res to 1080.
