    Hi guys,

I’ve got the very first edition of the MacBook Pro, is this 64 bit? And will it be able to run Adobe CS5?

Or will I need to use CS4 or CS3?

I also have a new iMac, I would like to be abe to edit projects on both.

    Thanks

If this is a MBP with a PPC CPU then no.

You might need to check in the about if the OSX is 64bit.

CS5 and beyond will not work on an OS that is 32bit and must be 64bit.

The first edition Macbook Pros shipped with a PowerPC G4 Processor – which were 32-bit.
Check your mac out to make sure that’s the case.

    Thanks guys,

My mac is 32 bit so I’ve downloaded the trial of CS3 to have a go first.

CS5 will have to wait for a new mac.
