CS5 Export volume drop?
After carefully adjusting volume levels I export from CS5 with “match sequence settings” no problem — until I listen to the audio of the exported mpeg movie with Windows Media Player and notice the volume is lower than in PP CS5
Hmmm…. maybe I am imagining this?
So I import the whole movie as a clip back into the same sequence of the same PP CS5 file that I just exported it from, and
the volume of the audio track of the re-imported movie is exactly the same as the volume of the CS5 sequence prior to export (ie higher than when I listened to the audio of the exported mpeg movie with Windows Media Player !?!?
maybe I am also imagining this?
So I open the exported MPEG movie in Windows Media Player AND also open the same re-imported movie in PP CS5 and sure enough the re-imported movie played back in PP CS5 definitely sounds NORMAL while the EXPORTED MOVIE FILE DEFINITELY SOUNDS LOWER THAN exactly the same movie being played back as a sequence in PP CS5.
Since by now CS5 is stone age technology that is only used by old buzzards like me I assume somebody else must have encountered this and hope to hear from anyone who has.
What I am trying to figure out is do I have a problem that requires some kind of fix like bumping the audio higher up than I want it to be in PP CS5 to get the audio levels in the exported movie, or is everything hunkey dorey and no need to worry about this?
