    just exported the same file from cs4 and cs5 using the same settings (see attached picture) and yet the cs4 final mov was around 46 MB and not the best quality whereas the cs5 final is around 640 MB and much better quality. WITH THE SAME SETTINGS. why is this?

    Are you certain that the settings are the same. For example, your Quality setting at 100 makes sense to me for a rather large but high-quality file.

    And I noticed that you are exporting at 0.9 PAR. I would use square pixels instead and adjust the resolution accordingly.

    Also, try H.264 from Mainconcept instead of Apple’s. You can find it as H.264 in your export list. Start with a bit rate of 6 MB/s.
