I have a lot of logos that arrive in EPS format and when I bring them into premiere they are far too small for the HD video I am cutting. I have to then go into illustrator and make HD sized versions of them and re-import. Is there a way to scale these vector files in premiere directly? I’d love to not have to bounce to AI every time I wanted to make a vector file larger.

    Hi Tracy,

I’m not sure about your workflow, but no, Premiere will not constantly rasterize vectors. If these are simple static logos, resizing in Illustrator is the only solution. But if you are doing a bit more, you may find a lot more flexibility doing a dynamic link with After Effects and checking the “raterize icon” on the layers.

Yup, AE was the ticket 🙂 It just takes me a little longer to edit in AE for something simple and I’d love to see vector scaling in premiere, maybe even just on import? I dunno, seems like a decent crossover feature as all other production apps have it!
