Thank you for the help on the other question. I still need to get this one resolved: I loaded Premiere Pro CS4 on my new computer and, upon installation completion, got a warning that said “Please run this program from the Administrator account so it can set up your license. Once the license is set up, you can run it from any account”. I was in the Administrator account (the only active account on the computer) when I loaded it. I researched the Adobe site and it recommends disabling all accounts. I’d like to avoid that if possible. How can I make Premiere recognize it is in the Admin account so it will register?

    Thank you,

    Don

Try right clicking on the icon and “Run as Administrator”.

    Vince,

Thank you. That opened the program without a warning. I guess I’ll have to right-click instead of left-click on my laptop and desk-top. Any speculation regarding why it won’t register in a conventional manner and just behave?

    Thanks Vince,

I’m not sure why it’s happening, and it may not be needed next time.

But you can make that the default behavior without having to right click everytime.

If you are already using a shortcut, right click on the icon.

Hit properties > Advanced > Run as Administratior.

    Tim,

I am aware CS4 hasn’t changed. I was simply asking if anyone had a similar glitch with VISTA and knew the fix or could identify the cause of the anomaly. I enjoy your comments and observations on this forum.

    Cheers,

    Vince,

Thank you. That worked. I’ve left-clicked several times and it is opening without a warning. I’ll remember that process when dealing with similar glitches.

    Best,

Did CS4 come out before Vista? I think not, so it is CS4 not playing nice with the OS rather than the other way around

They are both playing rather nicely now.
