  CS4 Updated Encoder Update Error via PPro

  If you happen to run your Adobe Updater from Premiere Pro and you get the following error for Adobe Media Encoder you will want to run the Adobe Updater from Encore CS4 instead.

  “Adobe Media Encoder CS4 Exporter 1.0.1, Adobe Media Encoder CS4 Importer 1.0.1, Adobe Media Encoder CS4 1.0.1, Failed to install.”

  I opened a case with Adobe and that is the solution they gave me and it did work. I did also submit the following suggestion, which they did not seem to acknowledge:

  “I did look for an Stand-Alone ‘Updater’ in the Windows Program Menu. That would have been very useful.”
