Anybody know anything about the speech>text conversion in CS4? I do interviews and docs; it would be good to have the ability for the editing program to make a transcript for editing purposes. I called abobe but customer service was not clear on the ability of the program to do this.

I understand one of the Avid flavors has this ability.

    Thanks

As I understand it, it will allow you to select a clip and request a transcription. The indexed data will then be available for searching.

Download the Soundbooth CS4 beta. It has the same feature and should work in an identical fashion in Prem Pro CS4. It’s pretty cool and should be perfect for what need it for. It’s not 100% accurate but close enough to really help when trying to locate a soundbite fast.

I am so looking forward to the new CS4. Lots and lots of new goodies in the Master collection.
