With all of the new bells and whistles in CS4, is there a “Render Work Area in all Sequence” option? If not, that would have been nice.

Also, has anyone else notices how painfully slow the new Adobe Media Encoder CS4 encodes?

    Thanks.

I don’t know what system you are running, but the encoder rips through files for me.

I have noticed that AME encodes pretty quickly, but takes forever to load the sequences from Premiere (Dynamic Link and all that.) I am on an XPsp3 32bit home made non-compliant system with only a moderately speedy dual core processor, so I’m happy when it just doesn’t crash

It’s brutal. Once it’s actually encoding it’s fine but if you want to do 120 stills like i used to do you’re SOL.

    Hopefully they’ll get the message.

I miss my “movie” export which was immediate and great for exporting “bloopers” quickly to be edited together later.

Nice that you can encode a lot of things at once and walk away though.

    Best,

    Todd
