    Ok, here goes…

    Intel Petinum 4 2.8GHz
    2G ram
Nvidia GeForce 7800 (updated drivers today)
    XP Pro

I upgraded from Premiere Pro 2.0 this week to CS4. I have the thing installed properly, all’s well. I opened an old project, it updated it beautifully. However, I cannot open any of the sequences (or put them on the timeline, for that matter), and every time I try to play any of the video files, the program completely freezes. All SD stuff, still works on PP2.0. I have tried to import video files inputted through PP2.0, and they won’t play. I’m guessing this is a video card issue, which will make me sad, but I’m not about to go get a new one without checking here and with the Adobe folks first. Great MOOvers and shakers, have you any ideas? I searched the forums and found bupkiss. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

*EDIT* I just tried to create a new project, and it froze on that as well. It got the main window open, then just hung up.

    Thanks for reading!

    Got it figured out!

As it turns out, the Creative Audigy audio card needed updated drivers. Without the card, it played fine, just no audio. Did the driver update, all was right with the world! Just putting it out there for anyone else who has this problem!
