Anyone else having CS4 reject multiprocessing?

We’re running RSMB standard and Key Correct pro, along with your basic keying stuff, like the regular color keyer, chokers, mattes, whatnot. CS4 is rejecting multiprocessing, but CS3 + Nucleo pro is ripping through it. Anyone else run into this, and figure out a work-a-round? We have a better workhorse with CS4 installed on it, vs the CS3 machine, and of course, don’t have the time to install CS3.

Doesn’t surprise me, I’d go with the faster cs3 + nucleo setup for now until you can get that installed on your faster machine. Just because Adobe says cs4 is multi-anything doesn’t mean it works as well or as fast as nucleo. In fact Adobe says a lot of stuff about AFX that’s never quite what they say…

Yeah, you see, the ironic part is that CS3 ran like garbage on that computer, with nucleo, but it could have also been because it was one of those ‘copy installs’ that my client did (do you wish to copy information from another mac?). I personally formatted it, and installed CS4, which for the most part runs much better than CS3, excluding the crippling lack of multiprocessing.

Hopefully nucleo will be released for CS4 soon. I find myself shift-spacebarring instead of hitting the 0 key all too much for previewing without nucleo pro on there…
