CS4 Media Encoder Stops with Magic Bullet clips?? (WIN)
All of a sudden from last week one of my two CS4 systems (windows vista 64bits-12gig ram) when exporting with CS4 ME from PP timeline: when the encoder reach clips with Magic Bullet Looks applied stops and freeze. Its been working perfect for 2 years, same hardware all is good.
I did all I have in mind to see if I can fix this and nothing: Different timelines, projects, different footage, different plug ins and worked fine, re-installed looks, update windows, clean cache, erase the 4.0 folder from my documents, system restore point almost a month ago and nothing?? So frustrating.
If I move the same project to the other system export perfect. So any suggestions? same problem?, I appreciate any help.

It would beg the question what has changed on the problem system…
Is there anything you can think of? …even a crash of some other software? …something that may even seem like it has absolutely nothing to do with video software?
The two systems are absolutely identical? No utility applications that may have updated on one system and not on the other?
We could be looking at something very obscure…

The only think I did to the computer 2 days ago was run the Windows Disk Clean Up utility, but I did it on both systems…

Have you tried this with only one project and one clip or have you triked a new project and different media?
Can you render those areas as previews?
I know there are some Magic Bullet effects that I HAVE to render the previews…then check the “use previews” option in Media Encoder or it will tank.
Have you tried starting the application and dumping the preferences? Perhaps the disk clean up utility got a little aggressive on one machine?
