CS4 intermittently stalls for several seconds
Does anyone have a problem with AE CS4 pausing to think for several seconds after asking it to do various actions? Actions such as importing, timeline nav, adjusting effect parameters, etc.
I have reverted to using CS3 for almost all projects other than those requiring Mocha because of this. CS3 runs very smooth and quick.
I am running Win XP Pro on a Xeon dual processor box.

Yes, is it especially so if you have just performed a AE project saves?
If you separate your video footage to another hard disk, you will notice that that hard disk will be very busy.
I have tested in on Mac AE CS4 and it is exactly the same.
