I have two logos with black letters on white backgrounds (in jpeg). Neither has a border.

I want to have a white background.

Tried successfully importing one logo into a default still title and the outcome is that one logo has no border, but the other has a thick black line outlining the logo. I want to import without this thick line present.

    Thanks for your help.

    Cheers,

    Bill in Toronto

The outline does not happen to be a stroke?
If the title is a still why import the image as an logo. You can superimpose instead.

    Hi bill,

If want to use a title to embed your logo then I might suggest you add white filled boxes against all sides with some overlap of the logo edge as it could have a little black border.

Or if you want to compose it in PPro as a clip add the crop effect to pull in the edges.

Alternatively you can open the original logo file in PhotoShop and create a mask to only show the logo and mask out the edges.

So many ways to fix it… Make a PSD file in PhotoShop so you see it as you want it to look there and inport the PSD file to PPro.

Or you can even copy and paste my brain onto a small sheet of post it paper, shake your hands like the hokey pokey and that’s what its all about! Sorry got a bit silly there. 🙂

A fix for you is in here. If the logo bg is not pure white I always eye drop it to be sure the bg layer matches the logo as any shade off will show an edge.
