CS4 4.1 Update Problem
Posted by Mike Cargile on May 29, 2009 at 9:25 pmI installed the update, and now I have NO AVCHD in PPro. It’s like the update completely removed it from the program. When I go to create a new sequence, AVCHD isn’t even listed as an option. Thoughts?

May 30, 2009 at 6:39 amI have also just updated to 4.1 and now all M2T video has been replaced with ‘ media offline ‘ tags. When I attempt to drag & drop the original video back into the bin, I get ‘media not supported’. I wonder if the new media support for 4.1 has over written the original media support codecs – yikes?!

May 30, 2009 at 1:43 pmYikes is right. Apparently the update didn’t install properly and eliminated those codecs. I re-installed PPro and then the 4.1 update again and… so far so good. Not cool.

May 30, 2009 at 6:32 pmjust installed the 4.1 update, all went smooth, no issues what so ever,
only thing i see so far is that when u create a black clip it still shows up as color bars, can get around it by creating a matte clip tho.
using vista 64bit on a BOXX workstation. -

June 1, 2009 at 2:47 pmOnly thing I’m finding is the need for Premiere to go back through and re-index every shot.
With the first project I re-opened with 4.1, it did seem better by not needing to re-scan every clip in a large bin when you come back from sequence. that drove me nuts.
Re-indexing this project is taking over an hour. But, should be worth it (I hope, I hope!!).rg
