When I try to launch Premiere it only gets as far as the splash screen then quits and goes back to Windows. After some research I found this is a fairly common problem and the remedy was to launch the program using another user account. I tried this and though it works, I need to be able to use the program under my current account. I use Premiere at work and need to be able to access our servers and my email accounts simultaneously. Switching back and forth between users is unacceptable. Are there any other remedies for this problem? I already tried everything listed on the support pages at Adobe. I’m using PPCS3.2 on a Dell M90 w/2gb RAM & Windows XP.

The only thing I can guess is that your user account has some programs starting which are interfering with version 3.2

You can try installing Autoruns from sysinternals, which will help you stop certain programs from starting at Startup and then cross your fingers.
