  • cs3, where the keyboard shortcut for moving the edit line to in/out point of the selected clip?

    in premiere 6.5,
i can just select the clip in the timeline,
then hit up/down arrow to go to the in/out point
    of the selected clip.

    I can’t find this feature in cs3.
There is Q and W keyboard shortcut,
but the edit line just jump to the
very first / last of the sequence in timeline,
not the in / out point of the selected clip.

There is also Page up/down keyboard shortcut,
but it also doesn’t move the needle to the
in/out point of the selected clip.
It just move to the next/previous edit line.

any kind of answer will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

You can add that function using the Keyboard Customization menu, but you must select the track, not the clip. That will create a PgUp and PgDn like function but only on that track. Look for “Go To Next Edit Point in Target Track” and you will also see the Previous setting.

Thank you very much for your help.
Yes, it worked fine now, as the needle
won’t go to through each in/out point
    below/above of the track.

Still wish that it can move directly
just for the selected clip though …:-)
without having to mark the timeline
with slash “/” of the selected clip.

    Thank you once again.
    I really appreciate it.

    regards,
    reko
