cs3 to cs4 plug in transfer
hi
i’ve recently upgraded to CS4 and trying to find an easy way to transfer my plug ins from CS3, most of the plug ins i’m trying to get running are from red giant. i’ve tried to copy them straight into the CS4 plug in directory but no joy.
is the an easy way to do this without re installing them all on my mac?

Seems like every third party filter maker has a different update/transfer/move/adopt system. But CS4 has been out for a long time so other Red Giant users should be able to clue you in. Hope they drop by today.
Start by seeing if Red Giant offers updates to your plugs.
Then see if RG has a support document explaining how to transfer them.

i’ll get onto the RG people and see if they can help direct if i get no more direction from here. hopefully its an easy fix. i’ll have to stick with CS3 for now though i guess.
