    Hey,

I’m running the latest updated version of PPro CS3 on Intel Xeon CPU 3.99GHz, 2.47GB RAM Windows XP computer. Which handles most i thro at it no problem.

I have about 250 BG of MXF footage in a project I’m working on, and it loves to crash for no great reason frequently. I could be scrubbing, rendering the timeline, using the text tool, or just watching. It’s not picky, it just likes to crash seconds before i hit ctrl-s for the fun of it.

I’ve pretty much assumed this is an Adobe issue, that I’ve pushed its limit. But I’d be happy to hear if anyone has any great ideas that could save me from doing my work over and over again.

    Thanks,

    -Derek

I should also mention they are Sony XDcam MXF files. Not P2.

You haven’t noticed a particular clip on the timeline that seems to be the focus when it crashes?

Do you run with the performance monitor open (task manager)? Sometimes you may be able to see if the pagefile is getting to a particular size when the crashes occur as well. This can be a problem in XP with Ppro sometimes….

No it doesn’t seem to be a particular clip. I’ve had that problem before, and this doesn’t seem to be the case. Do u know of any performance settings I could adjust that may improve my situation?
