CS3 – Chapter Marker Issues w Blu-Ray
I’m starting up a custom video production company who just finished shooting and cutting my first multi-camera, HDV wedding. The ultimate delivery will be to Blu-Ray using the Blu-Ray MPEG-2 codec in PP Media Encoder.
Before exporting from PP, i preset chapter markers every 5 minutes, as i read it was more accurate to do so here than in Encore.
These chapter markers show up in Encore, however when i attempt to playback, the video jumps to the first frame of the next chapter marker, but then goes back to continue playing from the beginning of the video.
This is incredibly frustating, especially since i don’t intend to design a scene selection menu for this particular disc.
Does anyone know why Encore is doing this? Or, better yet, a remedy to get around it?

Also, in case anyone is wondering, i’m running on a Mac Pro w 2 x 2.26Ghz Quad Core Intel Xeon processors, and 6 GB of DDR3 ram.
The total file size of the current videos is just under 19GB.
