I can’t seem to get standard AIF’s to preview in CS3. I edited a voice over in Soundtack Pro and exported as a 16bit AIF and no joy.Scrubbing, previewing, RAM previewing produce no results.

Audio from video footage in the same project plays without issue. The same AIF plays in After Effects 7 with no problem.

As a work-around I converted the AIF to a QuickTime and CS3 is now happy with it.

Does anyone have any idea what the issue is?? I fiddled with the Audio Input / Output settings in Preferences but these didn’t produce any results so I set them back to their defaults.

FWIW my set up is a Mac Pro, 10.4.11, 8 GB RAM, 4x500GB WD Drives. Using on-board audio.

    Yes it works.

The Adobe user forum is bloated with similar complaints.

It must be a new “feature” introduced with CS3.
