Is there any way to make an effect of a crowd taking pictures? I need to make a video of someone walking in front of a huge crowd, and I would rather not keyframe hundreds of strobes by hand. Is there some script that could go

Lens Flare brightness to 100. Hold 0.1 Seconds. Brightness to 0. Hold a random time between 0.1 and 5 seconds. Repeat.

then repeat across 100 or so flares? Would I be better off trying this in Blender? :/

    Hi,

This may just be another example of me trying to use particles for everything… but how about using a custom particle (your lens flare flash) and using a particle system (Trapcode, CC Particle World) to randomly distribute them across your comp. With all the velocity options set to zero, nothing would move. Keep the life really low, and the emitter settings high, and you’d just get random flashes all over the place.
