Crossgrading Final Cut Studio
Posted by Rob Dunford on November 29, 2006 at 12:42 pmHi
Bit late on this one, but I have FCS Academic and I need to know whether Apple will crossgrade it to another academic version or whether they will send me a ‘retail’ version.
Thanks

November 29, 2006 at 12:59 pmFrom what I understand, Academic versions are non-upgradeable. You must purchase the full retail or full academic version to upgrade. The serial numbers on the Academic versions flag them that way.
A friend of mine purchased the Academic Studio and he’s unable to upgrade it. He must purchase the full retail to upgrade.

November 29, 2006 at 1:05 pmSorry I didn’t make myself very clear, I was referring to the Universal 5.1 crossgrade. I have heard that Apple sne you a retail version for an academic version of FCStudio
