April 25, 2011 at 7:49 pmIf the sequence is fully rendered, how would that affect 23.98 progressive?

April 25, 2011 at 8:01 pmIf the frame rate is set to half, it will playback half the frames, regardless of frame rate.

Because, it shows what you really have an doesn’t halve or quarter the resolution of your video. The viewer/canvas are an extreme approximations of your video. A capture card forces correct aspect ratio, color, gamma, and frame rate. Basically, it forces QT to play nice.

I think I get it now, your original comment could have been, “check to make sure the frame rate is not set to half”. That makes perfect sense now and I will be sure to check that next time I am at the studio!!!
Thanks Jeremy!

It’s not necessarily only the frame rate, but dynamic rt in general. You have to check that pulldown menu just to be sure.
