I have a 720p 59.94 DVC pro HD file that I want to change to a 1080i 29.97 file. Of all my tests the most pleasing seems to be from After Effects. Before I do the final render I wanted to check to make sure I’m using the best output workflow possible.
I’m importing the footage AE and then creatian a composition based on the files attributes. I then set that to export.
In the render settings I’m setting interlace to “upper” and the frame rate to 29.97.
In the output module I’m using an Apple ProRes setup and stretching the footage to 1920×1080.
Does this seem correct or are there other settings that would give a higher quality output.
    Thanks for any advice.

    Thanks,

Sounds alright but you should get better results with a plugin that’s been designed for such a job. Try Red Giant’s ReSizer. Dang! Hope I got the plugin’s name right.
