Hope it’s OK to cross-post this one. As an IO LA user, I’ve been waiting for this to happen. Portable on-line editing
has been a goal of mine for a while, this may be the last link. My portable 2 drive FW RAID works OK, but I want more!

compared FW800 speeds to the SATA unit. https://www.barefeats.com/hard54.html
Their tests showed severe write problems (speeds went way down)
when using 2 independent drives on the cardbus and when striping them Raid 0. They’re hoping it’s a driver
issue that can be tweaked rather than an unfixable bus issue.

Since Rob at Barefeats said he had beta drivers for his test, I’m hoping the released version
fixes the throughput problem with dual drives (if it can be fixed). I’m waiting to see the next
results.
