    Hi to everyone!

Sorry for the crosspost: I already posted this in the AJA ioHD forum, but I’m short on time and desperate for answers!

As you can see I’m an io HD newbie…

Let me explain what I’m doing:

    I’m capturing dailies for a 35mm 3-perf feature film.

In 1080@23.98psf: from a Shadow Telecine to Aaton Keycode to HDCAM VTR to AJA ioHD vía SDI-HD. House Sync is tri-level 23.98 psf. There is no control cable (9-pin RS-422) between the HDCAM and the AJA io HD: we are using it ‘wild’.

We want to capture in one pass simultaneously from the Shadow to both the HDCAM and Final Cut.

We have everything working now EXCEPT for the TC into FCP… in the AJA io HD display I have the VITC1 time code that matches perfectly the time code from both the Aaton and the HDCAM…

But when I capture in FCP and check the clip’s time code it is zeroes…

I guess FCP gets its Time Code input from the LTC or the RS-422 ports of the io HD, right?

Is there a way for capturing the VITC time code in FCP?

    Regards,

    Jj
