Cross Post – DLT question
I recently started working with a new G5 (see profile) and I’m interested in purchasing a DLT system for backups and DVD purposes. It came with a SCSI ultra320 card, which I removed because I’m not using. I replaced it with a firewire card. As you know, Apple has a limited number of slots for cards and I’m maxed out. If I purchase a DLT, i’ll have to compromise my system by either removing the SCSI or the firewire. So my question is two-fold.
1. Is there such a thing as a non-SCSI DLT drive? Anything that utilizes firewire? I haven’t been able to find any
2. If not, what the heck do I do?PS, Apple, put more slots in your computers!!!!
