Delete your render files and try again.

You mean you applied a cross dissolve, it was working, and it isn’t displaying the dissolve anymore? What are you seeing when you play back?

    All the best,

    Tom

    Thanks for your quick response.

I apply a cross dissolve, the cross dissolve icon appears as normal, but when I press play there is still only a clean cut, no dissolve.

“Jeremy” advised me to delete my render files. I’ll try that, even if it means a lot of re-rendering…

    Best regards
    Lars.

    Lars,

You cannot apply a transition bewteen two clips without handles (extra frames) on both outgoing and incoming clips. If a 10-frame dissolve is placed at the cut point bewteen tw0 clips you have to make sure that the outgoing clip is cut at least five frames before the end of the clip and the incoming clip is cut at least five frames after the start of the clip. This is standard in all professional editing apps.
