    Hi!
I am having trouble adding a cross dissolve of 30frs in between my clips. I already Marked IN and OUT points away from the edges of my footage, more than 15 frames, and I still get “Insufficient Content”message…i take the 2 clips individually and mark the points.

Am I setting up in and out points wrong?? i am doing mark out point at the end of the 1st clip (more than 15frs before the end) and Mark in at the beginning of the 2nd clip (more than 15frs from the start), also tried split video in and out at the same positions….

    what am i doing wrong??

    thank you all!!!

One way I make sure there are handles on the clips I intend on placing a transition in-between is by using the slip tool.

Zoom in a bit on your sequence to the edit point you wish to place a transition
Make sure they are butted against each other
Select S (slip tool) on the keyboard
Move the mouse over the clip to the left of the edit point and click on it. You should see a box outline surrounding the clip that shows you the original length of your shot. There should be an overlay of this box seen over the next clip. That overlay is your video handle.
Do the same to the clip on the right of the edit point. There should be a box outline over the clip to the left of it. Adjust as needed if there is no overlay (handles). Add your transition.

    hope that helps.

Hi Victor, it helps. but my problem i think is to set up in and outs.
i can do it with one of the clips, but when i want to do it with the other one, then teh ones i set up before disappeared.
so, do i have to set up in and out on separated sequences???
how can you save the in and outs from 2 independent clips that you want to cross dissolve???

There are plenty of explanations on the page below

Not exactly sure what problem you are encountering with the ins and outs. I guess you might have to start from the beginning to figure out what is happening with your transitions. How exactly are you editing the transitions onto the sequence? Are you manually dragging them to the edit point? Are you right clicking on the edit and selecting Add Transition?

besides this and what others have posted it should work. Try it again from the start.

    good luck
