Cropping/zooming into a clip while maintaining widescreen bars.
Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone can help me out with this problem.
Is it possible to zoom into a clip while having the widescreen bars still in place? I put the widescreen bars on my footage, but when I try to zoom in the clip to crop the image the widescreen zooms in too.

You can place a widescreen mask on a clip by…
placing a slug on a higher layer
applying a ‘Mask Shape’ filter on the slug
set the shape to rectangle
adjust horizontal 100%
adjust vertical while looking at the existing widescreen
set mask shape to invert
Remove the widescreen filter from the clip on V1.So now you have the mask s a higher layer. And you can freely scale, rotate or pan the clip and the mask will not change.
