    Cropping the frame

    I shot DVCPRO HD 720PN footage with HVX200. The camera itself shoots 1.78:1 ratio as in 16:9 format. Now i shot all the footage with 2.35:1 framing in mind. Now i cant change the ratio or rather crop the extra bottom & head using FCP or Premiere. Please help…..

    You will have to edit your 2.35 inside 1.78. You can either add filter to the footage ( widescreen matte) or keep a separate/transparent still image on the topmost video track (which is easier as the filter will get effected with anything you do, scale, position, etc).
