I have a graphic and title which I’ve placed in a group, I’d now like to keyframe this group wiping on the screen, but when I click on the properties tab, theres no cop option?

Would I create a mask, or is there an easier way to do this?

Sorry I’m very new at motion.

It doesn’t seem possible to add a mask to that group..?

Hmm…. this seems to work, I click on the group, Selected group in inspector and ticked the flatten option, then I was able to add a mask to the group.

Am I on the right track?

Your group is probably set as a 3D group. You can’t crop or mask 3D groups. Well, you can apply an image mask to a 3D group, but the mask itself will be 2D.

If you NEED the group to be 3D, then place the group inside another 3D group and make the group with the title 2D so you can use crop or mask.
