cropping images
I’m switching from Quark to InDesign, and am finding the image cropping to be a real pain. In Quark use the mouse, move the image in the box until it’s where you want it and you’re done.
The 2 layers of boxes in ID not only add time and aggravation, but if you resize the brown frame, the image resizes. This sucks.
Is there any way to move the image in the frame without having it resize
and without changing the overall frame size? It’s really annoying when you’re working with a grid of frames all the same size…The whole thing seems way too complicated given how easy it is in Quark!
otherwise, I’m liking ID a lot.
So: help, please? Surely I’m not the only one with this issue!

OK general rule, use your black arrow tool (selection tool) to adjust the frame…use the white arrow tool (Direct selection tool) to adjust the image.
To adjust the image with the white arrow tool, click on the image once. Now you can move it around with your “hand” or you can resize with the corner points.
