    Hi,
I have some hdv footage that was shot from a boat and is not steady. I have used a stabilising tool on it but I don’t like the zoomed output. As the final use will be SD DVD can I just crop the image in FCP and not up-rez it?
How do I crop the clip to SD?

Thanks – it seems a pretty simple concept but I am struggling.

Up-resizing means to make the picture bigger than a 100%.
If you drop HDV footage in an SD time line you have a lot of room to enlarge the image without up-sizing.
Just crop and tweak the size to make fill the canvas screen.
