cropping ae comp for flash
hi there,
i have a comp that has a looping particle system that animates over 3 seconds, is there a way for after effects to see what the border is for all active moving particles and make the comp that exact size, so that i can export an image sequence with an alpha and not waste file size by having extra alpha data. -

basically what im looking for is something like the trim tool in photoshop but that does that over time

Can’t you limit the particle systems area with a mask, like Particle Playground and the mask as a wall, and then make the comp any size you want?
Or adjust the life of the particles to die before they leave the area you interested in and therefore make the comp any size you want.
It seems like you would have an idea of what the comp size needs to be for where the animation is to end up, then tweak the particle setup to fit that.
I guess it depends on what you doing with the particle system.
