Crop left right and feather
I want to crop the left and right sides of an image and feather those edges but don’t want to feather the top and bottom edges. I have found the “Mask Shape” and “Mask Feather” effects, which work together to accomplish this. Is there an easier or better way or plug-in for that? I’m in 5.1.4 at the moment. Thanks.

Create a custom gradient and then use that as a travel matte.
