I have been on board since the beginning….I find since the site redesign the traffic is way down. Where in the past I sent everyone to Creative Cow for answers to questions not to mention searching past comments, it just isn’t that resource anymore. It could be that software like AVID, Adobe and Blackmagic have heavily trafficked user forums with quick responses. In the past the COW was THE place for all things video production and post.
Not sure why it’s waning, but it is certainly not the same. I think the way the forums are organized only showing the first person’s post and having to click inside a topic to see the thread is a huge drawback. If we had more control of how the interface worked for us I think it would be an improvement.

I’m told it’s also summer doldrums and traffic will pick up more with the seasons changing. I think there might be something to your opinion about the redesign but also there is a lot more competition from youtube these days. However, anybody that looks at youtube comments in tech subjects for any length of time should probably run screaming back to here, lol.
