Creative commons attribution on a tv commercial
Hi!
I need to use some NASA photographs of earth in a short tv-commercial.
The images are released under a cc attribution license.
Is there any way of giving proper attribution in this kind of work? Does the attribution text necessarily have to be placed on the actual commercial (which is not possible really)? Or do you think it would be enough to give the credit on a website?

It may not be possible to do so for a commercial. The Creative Commons license requires that the credit and a copy of the license (or a link/url to the license) be included with every copy. This would be simple with long-form television as you could just add the information to the credits but it makes the use of materials in a commercial much different.
I would call NASA and talk to their media department. I would try to license the photos directly to supersede the Creative Commons license.

There is not just one Creative Commons license type. There are many, each with very specific rights and requirements. The Creative Commons website is very clear about what these are.
