  • Creative Cloud Sync Not Working

Posted by Gerald Goldman on May 16, 2013 at 8:29 pm

I was notified by Adobe to update to a new version of CC Connection. Ever since I did this I am not able to sync files. The toolbar cloud is grey (not being poetic) and I get the message, “Unable to connect to the Creative Cloud.”

The only thing that seems to be affected is file syncing, but who knows, maybe I’m not due yet for authentication.

The application manager seems to work and I can access CC and my files with a web browser.

The Adobe forums don’t have any solutions that have worked for me and seem to be filled with others having the same issue.

Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

It’s a shame, I was getting used to using it for syncing projects at home and in the office.

    Thanks.

[Gerald Goldman] “I was notified by Adobe to update to a new version of CC Connection. Ever since I did this I am not able to sync files.”

We know about the issue and are working on it. Only sync is not available at this time, all else is functioning normally.

    Here’s the official word:

Creative Cloud file sync services are currently unavailable. We’re
working to restore service as soon as possible. To disable these error
alerts you can Turn Sync Off or Quit Creative Cloud Connection.

You can always find the current status of Creative Cloud at:

This does not seem like a good time for this to happen.

    Hi Aindreas,
As I mentioned in the other forum, this is a Premiere Pro activation related issue. We’re working on it.

Also, there is a protocol you must follow when activating a new computer when you’ve already got other activations running. I’ll see if I can find more details on that and create a doc or blog post.

    Thanks,
    Kevin
