January 20, 2006 at 3:36 pmThere are a couple of commercials and promos that I have seen that I would love to get insight on how to start these. If you happen to have kids and watch the Disney channel-like I’m sure your forced to do, there is a promo for some series that is called “Imagine That”. They are great animations that involves a keyed out video of a popular disney star that has all these moving ribbons and action going around them. I’m sure it involves 3D and cameras, but I don’t think there are any 3D elements in the promo. It’s sort of like the new Microsoft campaign you see alot on t.v. now where a series of vector elements and pictures are revealed in a fast paced enviroment.
I’m guessing in both those videos, there is a lot of masking in 3D world and using a camera. I don’t know. It would be great to know a starting point on how to do those commercials.
Thanks for all your help in the past few months,
Brian

January 20, 2006 at 10:19 pmnot everyone is priveleged with having a green screen at their disposal but STILL needs some background stuff around their subject removed from the footage, so what are some basic things to understand and tools to use to help with that?

Well, if you insist:
How to make Adobe programmers your slaves so you can get those feature requests done that you REALLY want
How to become irresistable to women/men
How to make a million dollars for doing jack squat
How to dance, dance, dance, and look good doing it
How to become an all-powerful genie (without the whole ‘trapped in a bottle’ thing)Or, if all else fails, how about a simple, text-based How to Understand Women tutorial?

January 23, 2006 at 6:55 pmHow about a tutorial explaing how to rotoscope object in AE, like if you want to color correct an object like a bottle in a shot without effecting the whole shots colors. I think rotoscoping would be the way to go, but again i dont know, thats why im asking for a tutorial?

January 25, 2006 at 4:14 amSince everything is kind of making its way into the HD world and out of the SD.
I think a tutorial or two, say for example at a beginers or simplified level first, then a more technical one on setting up comps and rendering/output for HDTV…1080i/720p etc etcSo yeah basically a tutorial on HDTV, its frame rates, aspect ratios, how to output…dealing with diff hdtv’s and such
cheers
