Creating/Saving a Filters Package
How do you save a group of filters as a Fx Filters Package?
When I tried, I couldn’t get the individual Fx’ settings on each filter to save as a package. And how to save a group of Fx filters as a package, let alone how to save individual settings in each filter – all as a one group under a name such as “Jims face interior” then perhaps “Jims face exterior”. Couldn’t even get the Fx to save as a group so i am doing something out of sync for sure.
I’d appreciate any advice on how to set up a Filter Package – I am in the process of colour correction, shot by shot – [which is the way i want to do to right now] and have used several filters in a chain, tried to save the Fx as a group in Filter Package with a new name whenever i change a setting or add/subtract a filter but cant get them to “glue” together as a Filter Package. IE, the filters don’t come up with the settings I had saved as a newly named Filter package. Can you advice me how to set one up correctly please.

I hope I’m not getting this wrong. Here’s a screen cap of how I save Filter Packages.
1. With the desired chain open in a Video track FX window, click the Plug-In Chain icon at the upper right (marked as “A”);
2. A Plug-in Chain window should open. In this case I’ve already saved the Chain as Fooo Foe — it was saved using the Save As… button, marked “B”What I’m unsure of is whether there was also some change I made when I first saved Eugenia Loli-Quero’s set of color grading Filter Packages, using her recommendations and step-by-step instructions. If you can locate her posts or links to those Filter Packages it might offer additional steps or an optional add-ons (available from the Sony site, I think) that I seem to recall might have been instrumental in making this modification the first time around.
Please let me know if this helps or still leads to a brick wall. In the case of this chain, though, you’ll see that the saved chain also includes keyframes for each effect, set as they were on the track this was saved from. There might be limitations to where you can save such a Filter Package from too. This one was saved from a master FX timeline attached to the specific video track, not a chain associated with a single clip in the timeline, for instance.
