  • Creating Video Distortion… Chormatic Abbertaion Style Effect in AE?

    Hey,

I’m trying to really dirty up some video in After Effects to make it look really distorted. Does anyone know how to achieve such effects? I’m particularly interested in the “Chromatic Abberation” or colour splitting/searation style within the first few seconds of this video

    Cheers,
    Al

check out Aharon’s tutorial on creating a jumbotron. he uses the
shift Channel effect to create the split rgb look. you can use the same to distort your video into seperate color channels and move them independantly and then re combine them using either the add or screen transfer mode.

    Here is the tutorial link:

    best of luck,

Andrew Kramer’s Twitch plugin would be perfect for this.
