Creating translucent edges like the Helicarrier bridge screens in The Avengers
I’m stumped. I’m trying to create the purple-ish translucent edges of a transparent panel, much like the Helicarrier bridge panels in The Avengers.
I’m working in AE CS6 and would like to have the end result be 3D.
Any ideas?

I would use the shape tool to create it and add the glow filter or play with blurring it and adding a blend mode.
