So, now that I have 4 titlers with Vegas Pro 11, I still can’t make a simple PowerPoint style build without effort.

For a 4-line title build, my approach is to

    1. create a 4-line title using the legacy titler
    2. Copy the title frame 3 times on the timeline
    3. Delete successive lines in each event to create a build.
    4. Adjust placements on the timeline

Placement cannot be “Freeform” and I have no idea how to add a bullet character.

Given all the firepower of the other titlers, is there a better way? I tried New Blue and it was ultimately way more cumbersome. Suggestions appreciated.

The easiest way is to get Boris Graffiti (or RED) and apply the Animated Bullet Points preset and you’re done. The Boris Graffiti titler is probably the most powerful titler out there for Vegas Pro.

You can also do this with the Sony ProType Titler that’s built right into Vegas Pro. I have a video tutorial on Youtube that shows you how to cascade text which should give you the information you need to make bullets appear in order:

Just have them cascade a bit slower.

Titler Pro will also let you transition in individual lines over time.

Thanks for turning me on to Graffiti — which I plan to get and learn. The key to this will be whether the bullet events can be easily positioned with the soundtrack.

You can import the sound track into Graffiti to do the positioning and then mute it (or delete it) when you’re done.
