  • Creating Text Mask For 3D Stroke from Illustrator

I created some text in illustrator, and I’m trying to copy it over to AE 7 to use the mask it creates with 3D Stroke so it writes on. The problem is that the masks don’t create a solid stroke. It creates an outline around the text instead. Is there a way to create a write on text without literally masking it myself with stroke, or vector pain, or 3D stroke to create the reveal? Normally I would just use the pen tool and do it myself, but this isnt supposed to be a signature or anything, so it has to look really clean. If anyone knows, please throw out some ideas, Thanks guys!
