    Creating subtitles

    Hi everyone,

    I usually create subtitles as individual .psd files and then drop them into my Premiere Pro CS5 timeline. This works fine for small projects, but I’m now trying to subtitle much larger videos.

    Is there any way of importing .xls files into Photoshop line by line so that I can create an action to produce multiple subtitle files? Is there a script for this? Or should I look for a way to do this in After Effects?

    As I’m editing for the web (not DVD) I don’t think the Encore titling method suits my workflow. Moreover, I want to have my subs attached to my Premiere timeline before I start editing.

    In the Automating Photoshop DVD (in Cow Store) we teach Data Sets.

    This is the way to go.
